Default 92 Heritage no headlight or taillight

Also turning signals light up but don't blink. Opened up the console and found that it is not even the right one for this model. In the picture, there are 3 wires cut from this plug. Would that be to the headlight and taillight circuit? I have a service manual on the way.

The more I look into this a past owner must have been a complete moron. The speedo console is wrong. The bracket that holds the speedo is all hacked up. Waiting for my service manual to come in the mail but would appreciate it if anyone has any pics of what the wiring looks like under their console and seat.

A very simple lighting circuit on this bike, be patient, just work one issue at a time and don`t jump around.

Headlight and taillight are powered by the same circuit, the "lites" circuit.

Turn the ignition switch on and read the voltage at each stud on the "lites" circuit breaker, you should have system voltage at each post.

The "lites" circuit breaker has a yellow wire at the copper stud, and a blue wire at the silver stud.

Let us know what your findings are.

Read voltage at each circuit breaker stud separately.

I was able to get the taillight simply by replacing a blown bulb. The headlight is now working after plugging in the light more securely in the headlamp bucket. I have not had a chance to do any diagnostics with my multi meter yet for the turning signals.

Have your turn signals got LED Bulbs in and an ordinary flasher unit. Also, they look like brown and purple wires that have been cut and they go to your L and R indicators. Might be a clue...

No LEDS. Yes the rear wiring harness has been hacked up. It has a run/turn/brake function. All of the turn signals light up as running lights, and the rear ones also light up as brake lights, but only one flashes. When I change my switch base (its hacked up with a 96 later digital odometer added) I will check out the flasher module.

Running lights are usually a blue wire, check your earths and feeds as running light circuit is separate from indicator circuit. A Badlands ATS-03 module will fix everything.

I have finally resolved my issue of no turning signals by replacing the turn signal module with a new one from custom dynamics. Also, I was not getting a good ground in one front turning signal because the metal housing was no attached securely to the passing light housing.
