New to me - 1998 FLSTC
Also, depending on how much is going to be a PITA to pull the master cylinder plungers to do the same, will at least pull the front lever to clean it parts up and channel walls as well.
Hence with amount of water that the brake internal parts may have seen, better to catch in now with channel and parts clean up, then to let any beginning corrosion to feaster, to be bigger mess of pitting later.
And just a FYI on the caliper brake slider pins, do not use petroleum base grease, since it will cause the O rings in the channels to swell, and just be a worse binding mess. Hence rubber anything like O rings, silicone grease only (what dielectric grease is).

I used sil-glyde on all the pins and back of pads/wherver i have metal to metal contact. I didnt pull the cylinder completely out but did extend it fully. No rust or any kind of build up.
The rear pads I dont think were installed fully, the clip wasnt in the right spot. And there was a ridge on the edge of the pad about 2mm thick. Like it wasnt fully on the rotor, rubbed it on my garage floor a bit to get it smooth/flat and reinstalled.
Did the front today, pads looked good no ridge. Bled 4 full reservoirs worth of fluid and they are working.
Haven't rode it again yet, still need to drain trans and install new clutch cable.
Probably get this done tomorrow after work. Then will be able to take it down the street and test it all out.
Hopefully it will be broken in by the time my speedo gets back and I go off on some much longer rides.
Been keeping around town and the back roads guesstimating my speed.
Seats looks really good, just need the backrest now, added the insert to the seat so I can add it on.
Installed it today, wasnt too bad but did take a few tried to get timing right. With correct mark in window it would not fire and dynatek bolt holes wouldnt line up with threaded holes. Guessing I was on the down stroke.
Turned tire over a few times and then out finger over front plug hole. When i got air pressure pushing my and line in hole I got dynatek lined up.
After that and getting light to just turn off I tightened it down a d set dip switches. Fired right up, set it for curve 2 since I am completely stock.
Also got my longer and lower brake pedal on yesterday. It is in an amazing position compared to stock. Looks just like where my 18' RG brake pedal sat.
Waiting on an update from vtwingoodies for my board extensions, been a week with no update so I emailed. So I waiting on a response, if I dont hear anything by tomorrow I will have to file a paypal claim would be 10 days since ordering.
Brake pedal is vtwin mfg #23-0241
Will try again around May, I will probably send an email to see if they are in stock first this time around.
Wish the website was updated to show out -of-stock / in-stock so I could just order as soon as they are ready.
