The other thing is there are 4 seals in that area, the shifter pawl seal, the main transmission seal, the quad seal (on the main drive gear) and the inner primary seal. Usually the pawl seal only mists as it's higher up on the transmission. but the quad seal can give some problems and isn't that easy to change with the mainshaft still in the tranny. The main seal I have had trouble with the spacer as some of them have a rough surface or the spacer material is too soft which tends to eat up the seals. Baker supplies a spacer that has a smoother finish and a harder surface so it lasts longer. The other thing is when you install the spacer make sure you seal it with silicone on the inside as it can leak there too. I know you haven't had your tranny in that long so if the main seal is already leaking maybe there is a problem with the spacer.
Paco,
Took the bike to a dyno shootout today and got some good numbers 114 hp and 119 tq. Rev limiter shut it down and it was still making power and that point. I will post the sheet tomorrow when I get home.
Seems these ultima's make some good HP. From all the posts on this thread that bought the ultima it seems it's only been a few small problems, I have yet to put mine on the Dyno as there isn't one close by. Did you have to do any jetting or timing changes?
Goat thats some good numbers in my book. Not to have done anything to the motor. i hope to get mine on one soon, but like Beast there just aren't any close by. i am going back with the V&H 2-1 though. seem to run better, not that it didn't run good with the dual setup. Congrats again on the dyno #'s.

Earlier this year I bought a '90 flt w/Ultima 127, had a lot of issues the first 3 months of riding, basicly all builder issues, carb slipping down because of no seal./ gasket between carb/air cleaner mount, loose compensator nut took out starter, ruined ext shaft , rotor, stator, seal, race. Had it in twice for oil transfer from engine to primary. Nuts and such comming loose because they did not know what loctite was, missed Sturgis because of this sht shop. Learned a lot about my bike, now do all I can myself, got it dialed in 2 weeks ago, have put on 800 miles, PLENTY of power, starts right up, appx. 40 mpg.
Just got home from N africa on friday night, Saturday hopped on the scooter for a trip to meet some old buddies the 127 ran perfect have almost 10,000 on it now and no issues except for the noisy lifters which are getting quieter. It gets the same mileage as my buddies stock 2006 Duece. Yes everything needs locktite or it will come loose. The oil transfer could be because when my 127 was shipped it had the seal in backwards as if you were running a belt, I put in a new one turned the right way as I am running a wet primary.
