Misfiring help
I was once unsuccessful in a job I applied for (in the UK) because they chose a person of colour over me because he was a person of colour, he lasted a few months and I got the job on the second try, after they asked him to "transition to a new employer".
CEO of Harley could be a Trans-Greenie for all I care, if the bikes are what I like, I'll buy them.
Why are people so divisive in the Land of the Free???
My position is actually pretty moderate in comparison to theirs.

The old, smaller spark plug wire's resistance was 5.8k ohms, while the new one from Drag Specialties is 1.8k. That's a big difference. The older long wire was 7.1k ohms, and the new one is 4.3k. No wonder the spark seemed weak. The Drag Specialties wires are a good 1/3 thicker in diameter than the factory wires were, so I'm definitely happy with the purchase.
One thing I found is that someone absolutely gobbed dielectric grease into the wires that sat in the ignition coil. The metal ends were literally filled with it. Seeing this, I had thought dielectric grease is a conductor of electricity, but as most of you already know, it is not. It's supposed to be used sparingly on the inside and lip of the wire boots. Anyway, thanks for the help.
