Just as an update to the oil problem I had, the compufire charging system spacer I used was too small and allowed the seal to leak from the primary into the engine, then I installed a breather in the primary ever since then it seems to be good no problems.

I realize this is an ols thread but I started it back in June of '09 concerning a engine problem w/my Ultima 127, here it is 4 years and less than 5,000 miles and I am having the same problem. Goes into the same shop next week to see what the damages are, I will let anyone know that replies to this thread. Thanks, Choptop

I haven't had to talk to the warranty department in a while, but I've received no notices about him leaving Ultima.

127 is still running strong I have over 70,000 Km on the bike so probably about 40,000 or so Km on the motor, it is getting a bit noisy though but not using any oil, might have to tear it down this winter

Thanks, Ultima supplied parts last time this happened, undoubtedly that wont happen this time, any recommendations, given your experience with the Ultima's, what Lifters, oil pump, push rods.. I might invest in, should the need arise. Thanks in advance.

I installed the S&S lifters when I first got the motor no problems since, I did buy a new oil pump but there was nothing wrong with original so its still in the box. I tried an S&S 640 cam but put the original back in as it ran stronger, the lifter rattle was about the same.

Ultima high volume, high pressure pump, Johnson or Jims big axle lifters. and any good chrome moly pushrods. If you have any questions when you get into it PM or call me.
