exhaust brackets
I have 07 pipes and mufflers on my 88 flhs and was wondering what you all use for brackets to mount the newer pipes? Also do they need any mods? I had some crappy one side system on my bike when I got it and don't have the factory brackets. The only place I can mount the duals is at the mufflers and the heads.
Ogre is the 07 exhaust a dresser dual setup - sorta like original for an FLH?
If so, other than the rubber blocks and slides at the end of the mufflers, you need number 88 which bolts to the transmission trap door and 62 which clamps the front pipe to it, Also number 58 which bolts to the starter solenoid and 82 that is the clamp for the left downpipe and bolts to number 58 as a brace. That's about all there is to it. I see these parts float thru fleabay ocassionally and didn't check, but suspect most, if not all aren't avaliable from the dealer any longer.

The hardest to modify would be the left since the starters completely changed in 89. You might check ebay regularly for the unavaliable parts. I know I've seen each of them there over time or if your parts guy at the dealer is good maybe they would do a dealer search for old stock. I'd get it bolted up good asap so it doesn't start breaking your pipes. Good luck.
If I recall, I reused 58 and 82. I only had to take a grinder to one side of the new clamp that goes around the pipes at the junction to make it clamp a little tighter. It is possible that they don't fit right on new ones too, for that matter. Is 58 the circumfrencial clamp at the union of the 2 pieces? I can't tell from the scan. If so, that's what I ground down a little where it pinches together to get it a bit tighter. I think that's where I used the one from the new set. I'll take a look at it and see if I can figger out what all I did to it. That 3 hole thing, 82, didn't need any change at all.
OK, I took a look. I did re-use 58 and 82 of the drawing above. Mine looks a little different than the drawing, but it might be a resolution issue or the drawing could just not be completely accurate. I ground down a little bit of 82 where it pinches so that it would pinch tighter. That was the only part of the old system I used besides the hanger thing on the right side and the siders in the rubber under the bags. I also had to get different bolts to hold the mufflers on under the bags because the original 1986 ones were fine thread and the new 2007 mufflers are coarse thread.
By the hanger thing on the right side did you mean the bracket that bolts to the transmission?
I also just got back from my local dealer and he had all the mounts in stock so I should be good to go. Thanks everyone for your help.

Reimans Harley in Kewanee Il. They have some odd stuff in stock but don't have some of the more common parts in stock. Most of the older parts are from when it used to be a actual motorcycle shop not a t-shirt and chrome emporium.
