Try Ebay or an indy that has done a chain conversion. Get a new belt but second hand pulleys are not too hard to come by.

For the front pulley, use `94 and later configuration parts. Pulley, lockplate, nut, bolts, spacer, quad seal and oil seal.

The earlier pulley setups had a lot of problems with coming loose.

Unless you can find pulleys that look unused, I would buy new parts. New pulleys and belt will go 100k miles.

I am also a fan of new pulleys and belt at the same time. It's a big enough PITA to do the job that putting new pulleys on isn't that much more.

I'm with Dr Hess, fit all new, not secondhand. You can get the correct parts from a wide variety of sources.

86 is bastard stuff...still has a tapered mainshaft....most of the newer parts will not fit...which may be why it got converted to chain...the aftermarket has totally ignored the early 5 speeds. You can have your trans rebuilt with a splined shaft... so newer parts will fit, or check with supermax...they manufacture belt drive pulleys for the older stuff.

For sure get rid of the tapered shaft if you can..... I have worked on mine a few times and each time it has been a pain.

The mainshaft has nothing to do with the pulley hardware. All the later pulley hardware will fit.
