For now I have the heel shifter from the FL mounted and it works. A bit awkward, but I can ride at least. I'll go by Bud's on Tuesday and see if he has one. One of the guys that works there rides an FXRP, so at least they'll no what it is.

Thanks for the suggestions!
Buds will have what you need but you may need to dig for a while.

What about putting forward controls on?

Just toe but.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/HARLEY-SUPER...2b3c96&vxp=mtr

Don't know if ths one would fit or not but... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Harley-Chrom...00f06c&vxp=mtr

If this is what you need, that price is insane. http://www.ebay.com/itm/EPS14000-Har...11eff4&vxp=mtr

And it appears as though he's cornered the market on them too. His prices are always way too high. I'd call Pinwall or RSI.

One other thought is that you can drill, and sleeve it. Put a little JB weld in the hole before you put the sleeve in.

Wow! Elvis really like his FXR parts. Before I dropped $212 for that arm I would call Fab Kevin and see if he can make you one. Or maybe you got someone local that can weld you up something from your original parts/swap meet find ?

Default Fixed maybe.....

Got to brainstorming with a buddy (PO of the bike, actually) and we got it to work. Deepened the cut toward the toe portion, and made an additional cut toward the heel. This gave it a LOT more flex for the pinch bolt. Used some red loctite for good measure. Rode home through 50 miles of country roads and twisties. So far so good.

Carrying a 3/16 allen wrench and a toe shifter for a while though.......

When I was still a kid ridin dirt bikes I always carried vice grips. Ya never know when you'll break off a shifter or brake lever and need something to get ya home!!
Glad ya got a fix for it.

The toe shifter on my RKC stripped the shifter arm splines last Thursday night in the middle of a journey out in the boonies with my wife. I used the heel of my boot to shift up on the heel shifter to get us home.

I talked it over with the service manager at our local H-D who told me to have it fixed under warranty, but he wouldn't be able to get to it until Tuesday. I told him I'd fix it myself, but relented after he offered to do my 30,000-mile service for free if I let them work on it. I guess they need the work and the extra $$$ they get from filing a warranty claim. So, I'm in a cage until tomorrow at the earliest.

Default shifter

If applicable ., JB Weld or any other cold weld stuff will work to attach securly your worn shifter.
