CV carb problems

You might want to think about a fuel filter. You stated there was rust in the tank, that could lead to problems down the road.

I got to remember that! Thanks for reminding me. Someone mentioned once that if gas finds a pin hole in that lining I did, it will all just lift up and then I'll have a real mess. So far it looks intact, but the fuel filter is a must.

indeed, what john said

mine comes right off the petcock to the left of the horn so i can look periodically to see if there's any junk in there

and over time, it collects

i went thru that fuel inlet elbow mess myself....got the solid brass that is a pressed in fit...man could not believe it was a press in connection....stuck the new one in the freezer then hammered the new one on...lol...bad design for sure...should be threaded...
