I used 3/8 hex bolt 6" long, a 3/8 nut, a 7/8" ID copper pipe coupling and a flat washer wide enough to cover it. You'll need 2 9/16 deep sockets too.
The hex bolt goes thru the wrist pin and the head of the bolt is just bigger than the pin diameter so it grabs the pin and pulls it out of the rod as you tighten the nut on the end of the bolt. On the other side of the piston slide the coupling over the blot and make it fight flat against the piston. That's just large enough to fit over the pin when it comes out, and just small enough to fit flat against the piston. Slide the flat washer over the bolt and up against the coupling. Thread on the nut and use one socket to tighten it against the washer and the other socket on the bolt head so the blot doesnt spin. Gently tighten the nut till the pin slides out most of the way. Then remove the tool and wiggle it out the rest of the way, or leave it sticking out of the piston for safe keeping. It would be better is you looked up wrist pin removal tools to see how it works. Not sure if I'm good at verbalize it. Bottom line is it cost me pennies and it worked fine. Good luck.
PS- Dont forget to pull your circlips first.

Just got done pulling the wrist pins out and the old pistons off with the tool Terrapin88 showed... Went to Ace, and bought all of it for under 4 bucks!!!!Worked like new money!! thanks man!

My 2 cents here.
The homemade pin removal tool works great, but you must be very carefull
when reinstalling the pins with this setup as any slight misalignment will gouge the piston pin hole. Take your time and ensure the pin is going back in
correctly.

machinehed, my natural instinct is to gently tap the pin back in while supporting the rod. Would that be unwise? I plan to use my little tool, but it would be easier to tap it back in.

DON'T TAP IT!!!!!!!!! Many bad things can happen, you could gouge the rod eye or even bend the rod.

I was wondering how its going to work putting it back together. If I see its not going smoothly, I got a buddy who owns a shop I'll have him come over and put it back in for me,i just wanted to do it all myself.I'm not buying the tool, because I don't plan to do this again.I like to tear stuff apart when its NOT broke or messed up, I know, weird. But I just don't have time to do it.Once I get off work all day, I don't feel like doing chit!Flooring is my thing,this gives me a headach! lol
