All back together. Took it around the block. It's worse! Can't believe it, I guess it's related to something in the primary, not sure what but at this point I'm at a loss. What a disappointment.
Time to get rid of it. A lot of the things on my bike make me consider trading it in on the updated Suzuki DL1000 V-strom... more suited to my type of riding anyways.
Sorry your evo experience was worse than mine... and mine hasn't been too great.

That is totally Gay dude.....have you looked at your primary chain...like every single link?
I haven't read to many positive reviews on that all ***** IPB. Not saying that's your issue. I might have missed it , but did you install the BDL comp?
. They sent the 24 tooth I needed the 25
I got it on the for about 5 minutes but the chain was so loose I couldn't really run it. I got it up to 2000 rpms for a couple seconds and it didn't help. I took the comp springs apart and flipped them around to change positions. There's definitely wear in there but if the comp didn't help the springs can't be doing it. I checked it dry to make sure the nut wasn't bottoming, it's not it's got thread left before it would bottom.
No I didn't check every link but I spun it about 20 times around to make sure I had no tight spots after I adjusted the chain before putting the cover back on.
So, without me reading back through all 20 something pages, You simple have a vibration Kp?? I'm willing to bet, and I could be wrong, it''s normal! Listen my friend,The bike I have right now, it vibrates WORSE than my other two convertibles, and they ALL are the same year! At or around 2000 rpm's to. Have you had anyone else check this out and see if it normal?
By he way, sorry to hear it didn't fix it, nothing worse than working on something and wasting money, and it didn't fix anything! I feel your pain!!
If it helps, here are some idle videos of my FXDS. If you'll notice the bars shake, the front tier dances around, the shifter is rattled to death, and it backs itself down the driveway... but once rolling after 2k RPM's it's super smooth. I'm really thinking unless your crank is way the **** out of wack, your bike is fine and you're just not used to the vibes an HD can put off. I think you need to go ride an old 4 speed, hardtail shovel for comparison.

. Basically to sum it up it shakes at idle and everywhere else, but normal. At 2000 it's a very hard shake so if your holding it at 2500 sitting still then let go of the throttle it will be smooth then as is passes 2000 it shakes like a paint shaker. Same when driving and with clutch in out in gear out of gear. It's fine for cruising it's just every decel to a stop or start goes through this. Leaving the neighborhood is rough because you're either revving to pass it or lugging at 1800 to avoid. I'll have to live with it, it's just annoying I've spent a lot of hours inspecting and checking and changing faulty parts that needed repair, but didn't solve the vibration issue at 2000.
Put the apes back on, should help soak up some it it. Those low bars shook like hell. I out a 5 inch long lead plug in the ends too
Joe. Here's a video of it shaking. Listen you can here when it gets nasty at 2k by the sound of the bars and levers smacking around. Smooth above and below. The wavy part is the bars shaking hard and fast but you can see how far they actually move just didn't pick the shaking up it's too fast for the camera.
