So I've got this acme choppers wide glide springer I want to put on my 88 FLSTC, I've also got the idea of putting on an indian scout swing arm I found. From what I've found indian pretty much copied HD during the gilroy years, so it should bolt right up. I've got almost everything for the springer except front brake and risers.
What do you guys think? Bad ideas?
my guess its a 6 over springer and it does not have a shock so hold on in the corners
now i drove a 12 over when i was a kid so i am not going to tell you what to do BUT pogo bouncing on the Bklyn / queens expressway and the belt parkway was taking your life in your hands back then -
you could consider a front shock it makes all the difference
I went into the Acme factory last fall, pretty sweet shop setup he had and he had some killer (sick for u dyna boys) products for sale. I was about to buy a two over for my heavy Heritage but lucked out with a swap moco find situation. His place is next to the HD dealer a stone's throw from Weir's Beach which is where the debauchery from the bike week is. Worth a visit if you're local.
Post some photos of your project.
