Normally that plug is only removed when a external air bleed is installed. Glad you got it worked out man.
Now THC has a point. Quit intoxicating that thing with sea foam. I hear there is an SFA group , but the first step is admitting you have a problem!!!

Post 2004 S&S carbs already have an adjustable air bleed.
You have to access it by taking off the bowl.
