Normally that plug is only removed when a external air bleed is installed. Glad you got it worked out man.
Now THC has a point. Quit intoxicating that thing with sea foam. I hear there is an SFA group , but the first step is admitting you have a problem!!!
that plug is for non S&S air cleaners. some aftermarket air cleaners plug off the bowl vent for the air bleed. if that happens you remove the plug so it can get air there's a small cotton filter kit that can be screwed into it.

Yep. When I ran a S&S, I put Zipper's Max Flow ac kit on, & backing plate covers vent hole on face of carb. Instruction's tell you about that, & tell you to remove the plug. That cotton filter kit sounds like a good idea to keep trash out of the float bowl.

ok talked to them today there is no part number they make them in house
and here's how they do it its a fuel filter for a echo chain saw. they run a die over the nipple so it will screw in. they said they seen a few guys using them on drag bikes with a velocity stacks. and thought it was a good idea. they also said it only works on .100 air bleeds or smaller any larger and it wont get enough air.
