What would cause inconsistent spark?

ok talked to them today there is no part number they make them in house
and here's how they do it its a fuel filter for a echo chain saw. they run a die over the nipple so it will screw in. they said they seen a few guys using them on drag bikes with a velocity stacks. and thought it was a good idea. they also said it only works on .100 air bleeds or smaller any larger and it wont get enough air.
