don't recall discussing them (H-D dealership service guys) doing anything to the heads. what exactly "should" we be doing to the heads?
speaking to someone who KNOWS how to work your heads over. I.E. not the dealership. One of the best is in SEDELUXE's sig, Baisley, Hillside did all the work on my build including heads and ive been nothing short of thrilled with their work. Also hear good things about TMAN.
tks ryan. i do have a "wrench" i trust that i've been talking with. he's been thru the MMI school in orlando fla, got racing in his blood from at least two generations back. He actually put me onto a oil pressure bypass spring (from Baisley in Portalnd OR!!) he is familiar w/ the dealership i'm working with and speaks well of their competence/reliability. as he predicted, when i told them what i want out of the "build" and asked what they'd recommend - they said pretty much the same things he had told me prior (good sign IMO). neither he nor the service mgr. mentioned (that i can recall) "working the heads"... i presume that to mean they're planning to use the originals. very new to all this and desire good intel from knowledgeable, experienced peeps.
when i saw "baisley" on SEDELUXE's tag i immediately said to myself, if this guy is hooked up with them then he's the real deal. btw i highly recommend the spring conversion for increased oil pressure: it works across the entire spectrum!!
SEDELUXE pls excuse my ignorance here. my theory on ignorance vs stupidity, intelligence vs knowledge: ignorance = lack of knowledge; stupidity = the inability to or the lack of desire to aquire knowledge. knowledge = exposure to information, intelligence = the ability to properly process knowledge. i'm not stupid nor do i lack the desire to obtain good intel. thanks again for all your help, input and advise.

First question is, how do you ride it/what power expectations are you looking for??
With those questions answered, then, the proper cam/compression/cylinder head modifications can be established in order to put you where you want to be.
Many avenues of approach, but we prefer the most direct path.

I was hoping someone would ask this question. How many cam threads are there where someone says, "What cam..?" and gets a ton of replies without anyone knowing what kind of performance the poster is looking for?
