Default Motor Build Up

I am kicking around the idea to build the motor up on my stock 88" motor. I have a heavy breather and true duals. I was thinking maybe having new cams, jugs and adjustable pushrods installed. I don't want to go crazy, but I want the motor to shake the ground when I go by. Also some added torque and hp would be nice. What would you recommend that would not break the bank. If I am going to crack the top of the motor open, what would you recommend replacing while it is open and what can stay?

Woods 6's chain drive cams with 4 degree advance top gear, flattop SE pistons. Send jugs and heads to Bean at Bigboyz or AMS for that matter, as well as others like GMR Performance or Scott at Hillside and get the jugs done to 95" (3.875") and work the heads a little bit. Big gains, little bucks for what you get. Pipe won't be doing you any big favors though, but if it's what you want, no biggy.

I would do aleast a 98 ci kit, T-man and Head-quarters have some good stuff too.

personally speaking do some head work and get some higher lift cams to really bring out the power!

Thanks. I am ready to go to 95".

Yeah, I know the true duals are probably not as good in perfromance as a 2-1 setup.

98 or a S$S 100 is as large as you can go without separating the lower engine.

good cranks start at around 1K,

another alternative is to reuse your 4 in. stock crank, get it welded, bore the cases and you can do a 107 Ci, that would work great

either way its a 1000$, then there is head work, cams, supporting small stuff and tuning hardware, and tuning.

MrHog, what's your budget and do you plan to do any of the work yourself? That'll dictate what you can do.
