Default 96" with SE MCR heads build questions

***update with dyno below***

cam across an awesome deal on a set of brand new SE MCR heads and had to go for it. i want to beef up my stock 96" dyna. these heads as is plus cams. got a couple questions. on do i have to worry about valve to piston clearance? the screamin eagle catalog makes it seem like there a stock bolt on for a 96 so i wouldnt think it would be a problem.
the other thing is there already drilled for compression releases, do i have to use the harley ones or do any fit? theres S&S releases on ebay for half the cost of the harley ones.

after that im just debating on cams. using the big boyz compression calculator it looks like ill be at 10.3:1 compression assuming the heads are 78cc like people say they are. it seems they range from 76c cto 79cc. which would put me between 10.1 - 10.5. im gonna check what they actually are before buying cams though.
also the 2011 SE catalog says they handle 585 lift. but ive seen other places say its 575. anybody know which it actually is?
id like to use S&S 585 but if i cant maybe 570's or redshift 577 or 575? open to other suggestions too kind of staying away from woods only due to price.
i want a cam that would work well in that comp range. and come on strong midrange and carry good till redline.

id appreciate any help

Ya I'm not really looking to go big bore. Thought about bore and cams no headwork but saw a great price for these head and figured I think it would be pretty cool to build a badass 96".
Just wanting to do a budget build to get more power for a few years while I bank cash for either building a 117 or crate motor down the road. I'm figuring that's gonna be about 3-4 years away.

Set it right at 10.5 cr, with that .585 and it'll run good.

You'll need a piston if staying at 96" for the 10.5 cr, and if not wanting to go there, then set the .570 @ 10.0 cr. and let-r-rip.

Thanks Scott 570s at 10.0 -10.1 is probably how ill go then.

I know the 585 is optimal at 10.5. But ive seen a few dyno sheet of them at 10.2. Those were in 107 motors though. what would make better power from 3500-5500rpm. A 585 at 10.3 or 570 at 10.1? Although I wouldn't want to lose any low end power vs stock either.

Ok. So with stock pistons. And mcr heads at 10.0 compression with 570 cams. Would there be any benefit in getting my throttle body bored? Not really sure if its in the budget but if its good for say another 5+ hP/tq I might try and squeeze it in

Well Got the bike dynod last week
Bike a 2011 dyna
96"stock bore and piston
SE MCR heads out if the box
S&S 570 cam
With .040 head gasket. Should put me right around 10:1 compression
Also added 68t rear pulley(+2 from stock)

Previous mods thunderheader and zippers max flo on se backplate

92hp 101tq. STD was a little disappointed in the hp numbers was hoping for 95-97 but oh well for a grand total of $1000 including tune. I'm happy. Bike rips now. I've raced and beaten buddies with stock 103, a built up 80" Evo (that also spanks the 103), and a S&S 96" evo crate motor. The 96" crate motor was is extreamly close with mine having the slight edge
But I'm sure in any given day we could go back and forth on who wins

Gotta thank Hillside for suggesting the 570 cam. Absolutely love it. An the sound is awesome.
