Okay, So I received a new set of Peek seals for the intake manifold, very nice.
installed and bubble tested intake for leaks, everything is tight and no leaks.
tried to kick start at least 20 time with chock on and off !! No go.
it blows back out the carb and nothing has changed.
The thing I’ve noticed is the carb appears to be flooding out because fuel is weeping out
the small vent hole( I’m pretty sure it wasn’t doing that before)
And no matter how may time I kick it over with the chock on the plugs are never wet.
I would think they would be when a motor is flooding, so it still appears that fuel is not getting
to the plugs! Dam.
I’ve had the carb off at least three time and checked all the setting and passage ways. I put it through a
deep cleaning.
So here I’m still banging my brain bucket!!!!
Any thoughts?????
Yes tried that, and at first it would start but only when fuel was squirted in carb.
Now nothing but fuel dumping out and back firing and some banging,
Did you check valves, sometimes they can rust inside cast iron valve guide, then
they dont properly close,or open,
you don't have compression, when you kick it, it buck fires through the carb or
exhaust. You wont start the engine, sometimes only one cylinder works.
I’ve been riding the bike for awhile and than it just stopped. Lifter valve covers and checked springs and valves everything appears to be going up and down.
I also check for proper gap adjustments, everything good.
compression seems to be very strong, but bike won’t fire up, I’m thinking next thing to do is remove
cylinder heads and get a good look at what’s going with valves and if there’s anything broken that sticks out!!
Just guessing at this point.
if not what else did you change - it sounds like your out of timing
does the distributor Tuen with the handlebar or is the dizzy a re pop with an advance mech
‘
only way they pop back is it fires the plug with a valve open -
doi you i know how to set the engine tune in the timing or are you guessing on this end
