It’s easy. You use a semi circular ring compressor. I have a blueprint one. The underside of the cylinder should have a generous taper to guide the piston and rings in. Then remove the compressor band and push the cylinder down the rest of the way.

so to update anyone interested, I found one of the intake valves hanging up a bit because of heavy formed carbon, due to running to rich.
so I removed both cylinders, they both looked scratched and nasty and now they are at the machine shop getting honed and cleaned for a new set of rings, valve springs,valve guides and valves.
Thought might as well cherry them out before installing.
Also went back though the carb to make sure is pull to the left ( off centered ) like it needs to be!!!
