60 to 80 should be ok on the WL (cams could affect the numbers), but also look for consistence between the cylinders. They shouldn't vary by more than 5-7 lbs. Do the test kicking it through 3-4 times and with both spark plugs out and the throttle wide open.
If either are low, squirt a little oil in the cylinder and kick it through a couple of times and test it again to see if the numbers come up. Generally, if the rings are worn or not sealing the oil will help. If it's a valve, it won't help much.
I don't recall if you have adjusted the valve lash recently, but if the numbers are low on either cylinder, I'd check that first. And be sure you are on the heel of the cam on each cylinder when making adjustments.
I’m still thinking that this might be a miss adjustment in the carb! But the dam thing are so simple I just don’t see it. I’ve taken the carb apart 5 times slow put it together with great detail!
Hell I restored the bike myself too to bottom can’t be this hard🤪☹️
timer working correctly and I replaced the points and condenser, still nothing .
But yes it feels like I’m trying to start it with the switch off.. strange
