I'm a new rider (3 mos). I was sitting on the bike for fill ups until reading a thread a few weeks ago, where someone posted a vid of a guy going up in flames while doing that.

I did have one incident where I was topping off and the nozzle had 2 options, Off, and Full Blast. Not fun! I can get another couple tenths of a gallon in the tank when straight up compared to leaning on the side stand, but it's a small price to pay to prevent my ********* from becoming S'mores.

To be clear, just because "some" responses say: "I always..." is NOT the same as saying "everybody else is wrong".

Not accurate... the law reads that a customer cannot take the pump handle off of the pump or place it back on, but you can pump your own no matter what it is, car, bike, truck, gas can....
