This. You should definitely use new poly bushings. On my SG I think I used Arlen Ness bushings but on my heritage I used HD brand ones because the dealer had them in stock.

Good luck on the install, you'll enjoy the apes.

Get ready to probably keep climbing, lol. I put 14" apes on my woman's bike last year, and 6 months later she made me put on 16"'s, which she loves.

Last night she told me she's thinking she would like 18"s....

Thanks for all the help guys! I am just going to purchase the extended brake line and cable kit I think. I would hate to tear it all apart and find that I dont have enough...or maybe I should just tear it all apart and figure out what I need first. I am installing 14" LA chopper twin peaks. Has anyone else put these bars on and know what exactly I do or don't need. I would hate to spend $250 on cable and brake kit if I don't need them. Thanks!

I tried 14"s on my bike once, didn't like them at all.
The 16"s I tried next are great.

YMMV
