I ride a '15 wide glide. My fuel gauge was on the E, and the speedo dial showed low fuel. I was worried I would run out of gas, but luckily made it to the gas station.
I filled the tank up, but only 3.2 gallons (which took me 105 miles) was filled up. The manual say it holds 4.7 gallons
I had 1.5 gallons left in the tank?
Is the fuel Guage that far off?
Could be. My 14 limited indicates lo range when I have 1 gallon left. I know because I experimented. I always set trip to zero on fill up and get gas around 200 miles. I will never run out that way.
I have the readout set to mileage left on the tank- no odometer setting since I bought the bike, don't need it.
I have this thingy about letting my tank get below 50% at any time due to living in California and earthquake awareness. (Pumps fail and ATMs drop off)
I've had mine get below where it stopped measuring the mile left on the gas gauge...it had initials but I can't remember what. Anyway, when I put gas in it, I added 3.5 gallons in a 5 gallon tank.
