FP 3 Gurus look here please
I have a 2015 Street Glide Special with an Vance and Hines FP-3 installed. Recently I decided I would run an auto tune on the bike/tuner. I spent a couple of hours yesterday and today. I rode the the bike with my phone mounted on my handlebars so I could see the blocks being populated. Below are the screen shots.
I would appreciate anyone with a good working knowledge of the FP-3 auto tuning process telling me if this looks about right. Or complete. I tried for about an hour after I got this map and couldn't get any more of the yellow to turn green. If this doesn't look complete I would appreciate any input on how to turn more of the yellow to green.
TIA,
Kevin

It's looking good so far, but you need to run Autotune longer to get the most out of it. Hit "Apply Learned Values" and continue your a/t session, varying rpm/throttle position as much as possible. Do that a few times, applying the learned values after each ride, for a couple hundred miles or about a tank of gas. Then hit "Finish" (the bike wont run it's best until you hit finish and it sets the a/f ratios)......also, each time you apply the learned values, the grid tracker will clear, I always take a screen shot before applying so I can compare them. Of course it's impossible to fill all the squares, but I think if you pay attention to your RPMs and throttle position, you should be able to get a few more cells to populate/turn green, especially in the 2250-3500 RPM at 25-60% TPS and 4500-5000RPM at 40-80% TPS areas.

Thanks for the responses. I will continue to work on this A/T map. Like I said in my original post, I did try to get more cells filled in. But for some reason I couldn't seem to get there. I'll work on it some more this week.
Labrador - it is already 80 - 90 degress here in South Carolina some days.

I envy you WoodButcher! We are still in the 30's some nights here and our rivers are swollen from all the rain that has been raining here lately.
That reminds me...I need to add two bikes to the ark that we are building because of all the non-stop rain. Maybe a Softail and a Sportster to represent HD in the future?

Those charts look pretty good just remember you can go back and auto tune again that why after every auto tune I hit finish then run about 1/2 tank through and then do it again I have a few different maps that I started with now I'm down to two that I've auto tuned multiple times and now I feel I'm done squeezing all that I can out of them. Nice feature live the fp3

It looks good for regular driving. You want to run it for a few hours the way you would normally ride. From there if you want to get other areas green you gotta force those values to learn by riding outside your regular riding.
For example it looks like you have nothing in your 2000-3000 rpm range in the 30-100% throttle position range. This leads me to believe you did not "get on it" too many times. If you want the FP3 to learn those fields you gotta ride in those fields much more. So you'll have to get on a highway or open road, start at a low rpm (2k) and open the throttle,...40%, 50%, 60%...etc etc. You would have to do this a number of times. You will feel like you're beating your bike up if you try and get too many more green boxes.
While auto-tuning you can see the grey box hovering over the field. If you watch that box, you can get it to go where you want. Try and keep that box in place until it learns. This may mean driving in 1st gear at 4k rpms for 20-30 seconds,...for example. BUT you gotta watch the road too!
Here's the thing,..if you don't beat on your bike,...it doesn't matter if those fields outside your normal driving range is "optimized". So don't go to crazy.

There's a glitch causing the "engine too cold" to show up, I was told by V&H to disregard it and that Autotune is not affected, they're aware of the problem and working on a fix....

I will get the Engine Too Cold message after an hour of driving. No way the engine is cold. So I've always just ignored it.
This was my latest map that I applied and finished yesterday. I don't Apply it until I'm ready because it clears the grid. So this was after 7 rides which was about 3 to 4 hours total riding. I was purposely trying to hit different RPMs and throttle positions, but I have a hard time filling in the squares for the low RPMs/upper TPS.
