It keeps blowing the fuse. It just started doing this the other day. He replaced the fuse and it was fine but now it started blowing fuse every time you replace it.
That just means the intermittent fault just turned into a hard fault, which is a good thing for diagnoses sake. I'd isolate the wires on that circuit and start "wiggle testing" them one by one. Visually inspect each wire, especially at any contact or transition points.
Like stated pop the fairing look inside, follow the wires.
Does it do it (blow the fuse)at the same time every time (like when you turn the bars or blinker or...)?

Did he buy the bike new or used?
Is the stereo stock or has someone been under the fairing dinking around?
My old 09 (bought used) had a hog tunz setup (done by the dealer) the stereo work/wiring was a joke.
I'd ask about ANY work done recently, either by him or anyone else. If anyone's had a wrench on it in any way, shape or form, that's where I'd start looking. Otherwise, as mentioned previously, wiggle testing the circuit will get you there.
Asking for any work done recently is a good place to start. Next thing I'd do is open up the fairing and check for continuity and shorts with a volt-ohm meter.
