Allright guess it's just me and my buddys. seen quiet a few of them and id rather check out the rat ironhead bobber put together by some guy than look at the cookie cutter custom the company puts together. and i don't buy the whole put together better thing ether. my 94 evo still runs like new with 60,000 on it and my old mans 99 lowrider has 80 some on it with no problems. to me it's a rubs dream.
OK, now yerstarting to readlike a troll, with that "rubs dream" remark....
We get it ... You dont "buy" it ... You didnt "buy" it and obviously.... you'll never get it. You've given yer opinion now over an over like beating a dead horse..and in yer own words "Ain't tring to bust no ones chops here just wanted to know any one else thought the same way." Doesnt sound like many here thinks the same way you do...
You got yer opinion an we got our's ... now ....

Some people are like slinkies. Not really good for anything but they bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs.

I think it depends on what you want and how much you're willing to pay for it. It ain't for me but I can understand why people like them. I'd rather take a stocker and make it my own but a lot of people aren't so-inclined. Not everybody knows how to turn a wrench. To each his own.

What is your point other than to alienate people???
I wanted an Ultra; resale was not a thought as I have no intention of getting rid of it. I sat down and took into account all the things I did to myLow Rider after I got it, the same things I would do to a new stockUltra (motor, chromeand such). I added all that up to the price of the stock Ultra and I really wasn't that far off from the CVO and the CVO did it better. Thepaint, leather wrapped tour pack, upgraded seat and on and on were a plusthat the CVO has. Another added benefit folks forget toconsideredwith a CVO is insurance,if my Low Rider were stolen or wrecked Iâd get raped on theadd ons. Oh Yeah, then there is thewarranty, itis never an issue no matter where I go as it is with all the motor work on my Low Rider. Then there is the MoCo and dealers, Iget this feeling they tend to work alot harder with CVO bikes if there is a problem. It was more money but not as far offwhen youconsideration the bike and all the other benefits with a CVO. To each his own, there is no right and wrong way, it's what youwant and turns your crank. I'm satisfiedwith the moneyspent and would do it the same way again.
It's kind of like the general riding a motorcycle mentality.. If I had to explain it to you, you wouldn't understand.
I don't own a SE... YET... but I'm lusting and running numbers for an '08. I've always found something I didn't like about the way one was dressed out. This year, there is one that I REALLY like.. EXCEPT.. I like a black motor (something that stopped me from buying one before). They have a gray motor now.. not silver or black. If I can get what I want, later I'll see about taking the motor and tranny apart and having a gloss black powder coat put on it.
It ain't necessarily about "investment"... it's about what you want. Also, you have less trouble out of insurance with a SE. Wreck a"standard"Ultra with 15K in accessories/upgrades and see what insurance wants to pay out for theft or (God fobid) a crash.

Why do you care what people have, Ride what you have and dont worry about how much others pay for there ride.
