Default Trailer Rental - Help Please

I will be moving from NY to GA soon and need some advice. (I am anticipating many responses that say "just ride it", butthat is not an option.) Can one rent a uhaul trailer and put a bike in it? Has anyone here done it? I know on the uhaul website there is a cycle trailer but that is for local rental only; I obviously need a one-way rental. Any other options for companies that may rent a one-way enclosed trailer that would fit a bike.
Thanks.

I sold a softail to a guy in Milwaukee that hauled it home in a small inclosed U-Haul trailer. It went in ok and we got it secured in good. I talked to him after he got back and said it rode all the way from Floida with no problems. I don't see a reason you can't use one.

Have not done it myself but I have read of people renting the size u-haul they needed for a move and putting the bike in first, securing it, padding with soft items such as blankets, pillows, etc and then putting a sofa up against it. Everything else went in after. I am not the one to tell you how to secure the bike in the u-haul, maybe you could get a shipping crate from a dealer? Anyway, use extreme care when loading and unloading the bike as you will be several feet off the ground at the top of the ramp.

Yep...just get the small u-haul trailer and make sure you strap it down good, on the way down you should stop and check the bike to make sure its still strapped down okay...shouldn't be a problem.
