Help or advice getting dyno'd
07 rkc, put onstandard package from Jamie from fuelmoto, Rush pipes, KnN and pc3.
Going to have my first dyno done at a certified dynojet HD dealer, Don't really care what the numbers are, just want to be sure I'm getting the best I can. Milage and performance wise. Yes there's is alittle hesitation that I'll have then check into also. I heard that getting dyno'd can be alittle harsh on the bike.
Anyhow, anything I should know, request, watch for while I'm there.
Thanks for any input.

So what would be the difference in a dyno pull and a full throttle run on the road? I always thought it would be about the same.

1000 Miles, YIKES, I hate doing something, or having something done that I do't know squat about.
I've read many a post about the dyno on HDF, and it sounds like there's different levels of dynoing.
I don't get to the shop for anything very often so I don't know the dyno tech at all, but he's spose to be certified and has done this a bunch. like I mentioned, I,m not speed racer,#s on paper don't mean much to me.just want the best overall perf. We'll see, goes in on thursday. Time to learn

I wonder how many here will either keep their current bike long enough to need an overhaul. Most of us will either trade or put a big bore kit in itlong before it needs any engine work. so whats a thousand miles.....Just my quartrers worth (inflation)

True enough, had my o3 for only three yrs. 17000 miles or so. By the time I put enough miles on for an overhaul, I'll be wantin the new water cooled and fueled Harley, with the new whisper pipes. Oh Yeah.

never heard of a ful dyno run taking life AWAY from an engine. Dont think thats true at all.
If you believe that, you should never go full throttle again.

RE: Help or advice getting dyno'd
A dyno is the only way to truly tune a bike to perfection or close to it. That is if you have someone who is very good and do not cheat. If he or she is good they will know that you can do a dyno tune on a bike and not run it wide open. If all you are wanting to do is get the fuel and timing to it's best and not worried about wide open hp and tq the tuner will tune each cylinder seperately to get the most and most efficient tune out of your bike. They will do all that and never once run it wide open. But just for the record i don't think it hurts them at all. My bikes like it.

Your indy is a twit !!
Maybe with THEM doing the runs your machine is in peril
IN the hands of professionals, no problem
See this if you think dyno time is going to kill your engine:

I run a dyno for a living at an exhaust company.
Five years here at HMFand 7 at SuperTrapp/Kerker.
