After watching......
Is this the type of styling we expect on a high dollar Harley-Davidson?
Is this the destination that the MoCo is headed. Err.........(correction) has arrived.
[sarcasm] Makes me excited!!! [/sarcasm]
It must be advanced technology and engineering.
[sarcasm] So beautiful!!! [/sarcasm]
Wasnt talking to you but hey if the boot fits.
They're delrin pucks. Similar to the one's on the Flat Out crash bar that HD released a little while ago.
They just got branding stamped on them.
They've got a bolt hole in the middle so that if you tear one up, you can get an new one. Easy to replace.
Pretty much the same thing as the aftermarket crash cages.
Though I have seen some people put skateboard wheels on the ends of their crash bars and brake pedal pegs.

It's barely even noticable since it color matches the frame. I mount my PowerVision to the front one.
That "Ugly" stuff saved my bike from being destoryed in a 50mph highside thanks to a sudden downpour, saved me from being injured. A year before that, the same crash bars saved my bike from black ice. I walked and rode away from slipping out on black ice with zero damage. Without them or with the standard highway bar, I would have had to replace the bar, and had to talk to insurance.
This stuff is functional. It saves bikes from being trashed and totaled due to learning stunt riding, and inclement weather and unexpected tip overs.
I don't get it, why are you in this thread if everything makes you so upset? Why are you looking for things to be offended by?
You're in Colorado right? THC is legal there. Grab a few bucks, take a visit to one of the shops, get some goodies, the go back home, sit down and CHILL the **** out because bud... you need it.
As for doping myself up: it has always been the goal of manhood to have a sober, logical, mature mind. Drugs reduce a man to the intellect of a houseplant or a rock. Hardly the state of mind to be using to interpret the world and reality. (And nope, I do not drink.)

What's happening is HD is following the American riders who build and ride these bikes and are making them famous and keeping them popular.
This stunt cage stuff? Developed right here in America. That crash bar you're so worried about, the lineage of that equipment for Harleys began right here in the US of A.
All that Racing bagger stuff? Started here in America, and it was picked up and made a big deal right here in America by... Moto America. Infact in the entire King of the Baggers series I believe there's only one non american rider, Jeremy McWilliams, and he's from Ireland.
All that oldschool Chopper stuff might surprise you but... the people keeping that harley tradition alive is mostly the Japanese.
Americans like stunt bikes, fast baggers, and blacked out harleys, and long rides across the states. So that's what HD is making. Old and Chrome is dying out.
Sadly to my dismay, I like the chrome stuff. Blacked out bikes are booooring. Gimme some more Satin Chrome stuff that was pretty cool.
So Yeah. Put your worry pants away you don't need em
Harley is responding to what Americans are buying. We are their biggest market by a fair margin. What you're seeing is HD making stuff that lots of americans are already doing to these bikes in the aftermarket.
Props to you for not drinking though. Alchohol is pretty shitty stuff.
Glad I kicked that when I was 24, and it's not a part of my life like it was my dad's.

Isn't it funny I can understand the history of a style I don't like nor want to be popular? That's called understanding that the world doesn't revolve around themselves. That not every motorcycle has to look EXACTLY the way I want it. Golly me excuse me for graciously letting people have motorcycles styled differently than I want them.
The irony here is so strong I could cook a peach cobbler with it.
The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
Even with the new fairing it is instantly recognizable as a Harley and as long someone not loyal to the brand can tell simply by sight and sound the brand is fine.
I will still go ride one, I would like to ride both the Street and Road Glide models. Its nice they finally caught up with the rest of the industry in some areas of rider quality of life which in my book are safety enhancements being standard along with ride modes to provide more tailoring of the bike to the rider. None of those detract from the look of the bike as it all happens under the covers.
To close out Harley needed to do something because their sales have slid so much that they cannot hide it anymore. These new models should at least fill the showrooms and help dealers move bikes but how in the hell they are going to get rid of the remaining 2023 stock is something I would want to have to deal with.
