I hope someday I am blessed enough to purchase a 45,000 motorcycle.
Until then. 3,000 dollar used sportsters it is.
Nothing wrong with a Sportster. Friend of mine has ridden one from Chicago to Sturgis the past several years.
Ive seen a lot of change in my 45+ years of riding. People today seem more concerned with image, prestige and owning the latest greatest. Blame the marketers. Its all goodownership has many different forms.
The frame is what needs attention. The only change to it since 1981 was in 2009 when they went from 3 motor mounts to 4.
It's time to do away with the constraints of rubber mounting and control vibration through balancers.
i dont pay her any mind, shes been on my ignore list for quite some time.
im not sure what to make of the cooking peach cobbler statement, is that what theyre calling it when you get your old lady fired up down there?
my old lady cooked some peach cobbler im going to beat the daylights out of later. is that proper usage?
I wish there were more women on here like her who not only knows what she's talking about but works on her own bike. Maybe you feel emasculated by her?
So I've managed to visit Skyline Harley today and they have a 2024 RG in a gorgeous arctic white. I love everything about it, well save for fairing, still not warmed up. I've gotta admit this year Harley did a great job. I threw a leg over it and what a mistake it was lol - it feels great; better stock seat and stock bars fit me just right (totally unexpected). I guess I'd eventually warm up to that fairing, until then I'm still happy with my 22

i wish there were less women like her, thats why shes on my ignore list and disagree with knowing what shes talking about. if she were a guy youd say she was a moron, but youre simping it up because its a female.
I am avoiding the dealer, so I don't walk out of there with a 24 RG ST CVO in white. I always said, if I was going to throw down 45k on a bike, it would have to be perfect. This one, in my opinion.. is just that. There is nothing I dislike about it and I am afraid to see it in person, because they always look better in person.
But I learned something recently. Currently, there is no way to mount tour pack or back rest. Apparently, HD will come up with a solution for doc mount in 2nd quarter of this year. Until then, no long trips that require extra luggage. Plus, riding two up would require new seat.
My takeaway;
you call that Woke? Missing at least 3 'inclusions'. See Peacock Originals for more.
Sold my 2020 almost a year ago. Too hard to keep clean in FL without a garage. (living in motorhome while I build)
WAS going to get a Rocket III GT. After a test drive I just wasn't feeling it.
Have owned Softails since 84'
Absolutely HATED stock Baggers. Could stand to look at a rare few CVOs and customs.
Loved the new Road Glide CVO starting in 23'. Now the CVO RG ST !!!!!
For 25k or so I can get a RG in 'RED or BLUE'!!! Then customize to taste?
I REALLY WANT a 24' ROAD GLIDE!!! Probably won't spring for CVO but, VERY tempting.
