Default Heel-shifter- use it or remove it?

Never used one, would appreciate some feedback.. you guys love it, is it a 'get-used-to-it' thing, or did you just remove it & why..

( Softail Deluxe)

Thanks all

Never used one till I built my 'Glide. I tried it, didn't like it and set up the Toe shifter to be a little higher so I could shift it normally. I leave the heel shifter on, it doesnt get in my way and it just looks right to me, but I never use it.

Use it and abuse it!! I think it becomes even more natural than the toe up method and for me more comfortable.

I use mine all the time and love it. I hate pulling up with the toe of my boot. Easier on the footwear.

I use mine. I love it. Don't like to ride a sled without it. So if your gonna let me take yours for a spin ya better leave it on. No really look at the top of your boot, no scuff mark, Nuff said.

I use it on and off. For me it was a get used to it and I find I don't have the feel for when I've shifted that I do when I toe shift and I'm slower shifting. I left mine on and use it infrequently, but do use it.

I use it all the time. It's a "get used to it kinda thing". Once you do though, it becomes very natural[8D]

I thought I would have trouble getting used to it... Nope... It just feels more natural. And yes... it is MUCH easier on the boots.

Got on a V-Rod and had to toe shift... I felt dirty... [sm=devilangel.gif]

This is my first heal shifter as well, It's only taken about 3 times to get use to it, I like it, seem like it's a firmer you know you got it kind of shift. I'm sure several thousand miles from now I'll think I've always had one. I like it.
