I live in Coastal SC and winter is mild here, but this is coming from someone who lived in PA for thirty years. That said, involve your local abate as they are always willing to help. I have done several benefit runs and the bigger the prize the bigger the turnout. If you do have it indoors do a casino royale theme blackjack,roulette,poker. Many rental companies rent these tables and games. Try to find a decent local band that will play for a resonable price and most impotantly...ALCOHOL

Hey, I'm new here, so maybe I don't know anything, but I thought I saw some kind of poster for some kind of 'run' in a biker bar, and I remember reading the words 'all vehicles welcome' don't know how that works out, but maybe a run where you can ride if ya want, but can drive if it's too cold, but still accomplish same goal?
