It depends on the dealer, I think. I know our local dealer does not offer employee discounts on bikes but they get 25% off everything else.
Maybe the dealer that advertised "employee pricing" doesn't give a discount to the employees either, LOL. Employee pricing could be MSRP. People would think they were really gettin a deal. HA
If you were referring to a Harley-Davidson plant and not a dealer, someone mentioned in another post that they get a 20% discount on anything above a Sportster.
How much of a discount would one receive on a bike if they worked for Harley Davidson?
Are there any employee discounts or incentives?
I believe that "employee discount" is the new catch phrase to get people's attention. The marketing strategy has worked well in other markets and now HD dealers are pitching it. I would imagine that employees probably get at least $1,000 off the MSRP because as soon as the 07's were unloaded off the truck, my local dealer's 06 prices dropped by $1,000 from the day before and that was just for the everyday customer.

NTGirl,
I think you are correct. I work for a computer comapny that supplies products to Harley in Milwaukee. One of the HD IT guys mentioned to me their discount and it was around 20% off on the big bikes. THere is also a supplier discount for HD's "bigger" suppliers that can be as much as 10% off. However there are restrictions on how many bikes a supplier can buy in a given year (1 or 2 only).
20% from the factory. Limit one per year. Dealer wise, it's entirely up to each individual store. One of the two around here cuts some serious deals for employees. The other won't even give 20% off on a t-shirt to his people.
