I've been reading on these forums for a few years now and it seems like some people must never ride their Harley's. They seem to be in the mist of some costly modification or they are spending the day polishing the chrome. What's your priority, polish or ride? How many of you are really bikers and how many of you are chrome queens? Just asking...

Mine has mud on it, but then the trip to the pavement from my sidewalk is mud n rock when wet
but it also has dust on it and ...it lives outside except in the winter (then its in my livingroom lmao)
Dont know if i would call myself a biker ....but i might be a redneck
I guess i spend more time on it than polishing it...but it was a lot of work this winter and its great

Reason: was not done lol
I have almost 80k on my Shovel since I rebuilt the motor in November '05.
Plus I spent a year in Iraq and was down for 6 months with a shattered wrist (unrelated).
I keep her clean, but the miles speak for themself.
I polish in the Spring and late Summer. The rest of the time I ride.
From the looks of my bike, I'm guessing you'd consider me a Chrome Queen. That's OK...... cause us ladies like our bling.
If you use a good polish... upkeep is minimal. A 10 minute damp wipe down to get the bugs off after a ride and we're good. I'd think chrome is easier to keep up than dark colors, which shows every speck. Just my opinion.
Polish your bike? Is that some kind of strange, extra special CHROMOSEXUAL saying? I dont know anything about what the CHROMOS do when they are not out on the road amongst the rest of us regular, normal, BIKERS and I dont want to know! Damn Chromos! Theyre EVEYWHERE I tell ya! Ya gotta be CAREFUL nowadays I tell ya! Me, I gotta ride!
Mines filthy right now from mud on the road in the rain due to construction. Although I do try to keep it clean to keep the aluminum rims from corroding. Eventually I'll either have to chrome them or powder coat them. And don't get me started on the fins on the motor oh my.
I rather ride. Now that I have an h-d (and my wife bought it for me as a present) I have to attempt to keep it polished. This springs' pollen count is winning though.
If I didn't have her to ride with me, I would have bought a night train.
