I've been told its available for Touring and Softail models. Can it fit in a Dyna to? 135bwhp grande!
By my calculations it would come out to about $15k for all the parts and labor when you add the HP throttle body, clutch etc.
Maybe its not in my immediate future but definitly could be a long range goal.
I think your estimate of $15k is a little on the high side. I think your looking at around $10k out the door. I'm pretty sure the motor will fit 06 & later dyna's & '07 & later softail & touring models. There are a few of these out there now and most are pushing 130/130. But trying different pipes & cams will see different #'s. There is 1 or 2 in the touring section.
Ive had my 120 apart twice now, it is not a bullet proof performance motor at all! Im having Jim's rebuild the fly wheels now and weld the crank pin, hopefully third time is the charm. With that being said, when it is running, it feels as if you are ripping pavement off the street as you launch out of a light!! I'd say even with all the head-aches I've had with this motor, it still makes me smile thinking about what a ripper it is when it's running good. I've heard that the newer generation 120 kits are more reliable and that the failures are way less frequent, plus I run it hard.
Is it $10k before or after you add the throttle body with injectors, clutch, SE sprocket etc?
HPI throttle body/inj($800), boarzilla 2-1 pipe($800), tuner($400), clutch($500), $5500-$5800 motor, $1500 labor = $9800. It comes with the se compensator. I would guess $10k would be about right. Don't forget that most dealers have winter time specials and offer discounts too. Mine will offer 20% off parts if you spend $3k or more.

What do you mean by newer generations? The 120R just came out.
Being frugal and shopping the 120r very carefully, I bet one could get it turn key for around 8500.00 +/-.
Then one could probably get at least 2000.00 on ebay for their old 96".
6-7 large net sounds like a pretty good deal for a ripp'n HD factory crate 120R.
