Am I being selfish?

Ive got a 2010 Ultra Classic and on Thanksgiving Day my cousin who is 26 asked if he could take it out for a ride and I said asking to ride someones Harley is like asking to sleep with someones wife. As far as I know my cousin has never ridden a motorcycle and of course I said NO. To this day my mom gives me a hard time saying that she didnt raise me to be like that, so am I like that or was I right to say NO?

I don't let anyone ride my Harley, And that includes my own Brother, and he has been riding longer than I have. I dont think it's selfish, Some things just aren't meant to share.

There is a small group of close friends that I have let ride my bikes but a cousin with no experience isn't in that group.

No way would I let an inexperienced person on my bike. I do allow a few close riding buddies ride it but as stated, get cash in hand before should you change your mind.

I only let one person ride my Harley and that's only because he and I have riden over 75k up and down the roads. I would never let someone ride my bike if I'd never seen them ride or if they have never rode with me. It's not a toy....

Tell mom that if she wants to pay for what ever damage your cousin might do that you'll let him ride it. If she doesn't agree to that then tell her to STFU.

only way i would let someone ride my bike is if they already had a bike and wanted to see how mine rides. otherwise go to the dealership and take a demo out.
