Its finally time to start pulling things together for spring. It actually got above freezing yesterday.
So - I call the local HD dealer to tell them about my new (to me 2005) bike and ask how much an oil change will be.
Can you believe they actually drove out to my house with a covered trailer & picked the bike up for free!
Once they are done with the service & wash they plan to bring it home too.
Now that's service! - I'm sure you guys are used to being pampered by your dealer but its a new experience to me. I'm used to the car dealerships where they cheat & steal each & every time you go in. & then do shoddy work - I can name a few in Peoria.
Anyway - I'm pretty happy so far with Walters Bros. in Peoria IL!
There have been 2 dealership closings in my area and rumor of a 3rd closing. I'm guessing they're not doing well so they're trying to get as much business and new customers as they can. When my friend got motor work done they came out with a trailer. Good for you that you're getting pampered! I've never been to that dealership, i'll have to make it out there this summer.

Can you name the dealers? I live in the Chicago area.
Check your oil before you start it up. My bike was quite a bit "light" in that regard...
Will do.
The charge is $150 - but that is changing all 3 oils/filters with HD fully synthetic washing down the bike & a quick wax + inspecting everything for issues.
I know - its high for oil change - but in my experience some things are worth the money.
They will have it back to me this week.

I don't think that's too bad of a price considering it'll be ready to ride when you get it back. They're calling for the 50's this week!!
Oak Lawn and Crete Harley closed last year. Rumor is Conrads is next.
