Well I could say if I have to explain you would not understand, but to be truthful I actually have no idea what the point is, just a Wesco boot video I guess, and I may just stick with my Danner boots after all.
astark you owe me the two minutes and twelve seconds I lost watching that damn video, lol.
Back to the topic, I have a pair of Milwaukee classic harness boots, $89 shipped, nice boots. My 4473 Red wing boots are the most comfortable boots, waterproof firefigher /EMS boots.
I've had these Chippewa boots for the last 3-4 years now... great boots. The quality is obvious when you hold them compared to many other boots. Very comfortable and solid with a Vibram non-skid sole. I wear them all day even when not riding, plus they look good. I wear them a lot, it's my most used footwear, and they still look and feel great.
I bought a pair of these 7 years ago and they are fantastic. They were comfortable right out of the box and they have held up very well. In 70,000 miles of riding I have had the heel replaced once at a shoemaker and I sent them back to Chipewa for a full resole service once. For $75 they put a brand new sole and heel on the boot and refinish the leather.
Best of all they are made in the USA, at least mine were when I both them 7 years ago.
I've read through the entire thread, didn't see mention of anyone owning more than one pair and/or rotating boots. I wear dress shoes for work most days, and I don't wear the same shoe 2 days in a row if I can help it. Gotta give the leather time to air out.
That being said, how many of you alternate boots for the same reason?
That being said, I bought a pair of Frye harness boots recently, and they're very comfortable out-of-the-box. Not sure if I want a second pair, or get something different like an engineer or lace-up to alternate into.

Any pull on boot is fairly worthless in an accident
If they stay on your feet long enough they still don't have any ankle support
I always wondered about the lack of ankle support and to a lesser extent the foot as well. But then motorcycle cops where slip-on boots, though theirs tend to be over the calf.

and they can be a little snugger because they zip up.
I wear Danner Fort Lewis but after watching this video may consider switching to Wesco !!
I love my Danner Ft Lewis boots (replaced my Hermann Survivors) but got motorcycle boots with a goretex lining because they leaked after riding about 30 minutes in the rain.
