Step away from the Showroom....Which is the lesser of two evils? Get the bike on impulse and regret it later or backing away to think about for a few weeks? You make the call.
I;m thinking you are right. If it was truely meant to be, it will still be there in two weeks after I have time to let the emotions settle down and I can think rationally about this.
When I see something that's really expensive, I usually get over it quick by subtracting the cost of the same thing in a less expensive, but acceptable version, and think of what I could buy with the remainder, like an 80" tv, new refrigerator, set of new tires for the cage, and how many bling goodies I could put on the bike I have, or end up with. And if the color is a big deal, what does a paint job cost? Looked a lot of new cages but bought used ones just for that reason; what else could I get with a cheaper car? Helps that I'm not car crazy, either.
The angel on my right shoulder is telling me exactly this.
It's the devil on my left shoulder that wants me to buy the bike.
I think deep down you know it's not the right thing to do. I believe you may have posted the thread to have us talk you into it against your better judgment. Then, when you have a tinge of guilt a few weeks after buying it you can say to yourself it's all our fault and curse us.
I think you still enjoy your bike and with a few extras and some freshening, it'll be just like a new one. Even if it doesn't look like a friggin wasp.
