BTW-One exception to "contraints on conditions": Ice/snow. But that goes with salt.

It ends for me as soon as I get that first ding or scratch. I buy most of my stuff used so I can avoid that paraniod felling.

I always use the things I own, but not abuse them,

First two marks mine got was at the 1k service the dealer did. But I didn't check the bike out before bringing her home, so I couldn't be 100% sure where it happened.
Least both of them is in places that hard to see them.

Now I make note of those two and nothing else if I have to take her in and I check her out before I leave.. Tires and brakes is about only things I don't do anymore.

2 full seasons of riding my bike, and there is ONE blemish on the tins.

small nick near the gas fill cap...my friend hung my keys on my brake lever and they dropped right on the tank.

the pipes and pegs are ground down from dragging, theres a burn mark or two in the chrome on my pipes, but that's about it.

i take a lot of pride in my tins.
