Default MSF Class in North Texas

Trying to decide what MSF Class to take. I live in Frisco, TX and have found a couple of different classes around me. I don't have a bike yet, so I'm wanting to learn all the basics to help me learn to ride.

Can anyone recommend a class for me. I've heard their basically all the same, but I would like at least a recommendation or two before I sign up.

Thanks!

I cannot remember their name but the group I used practiced on the back side of the soccer fields in the lot behind Rudy's that is on the Tollway. If you see a group of riders there anytime, stop and ask them about the course. There was a heavier lady that taught us and she was as nice and helpful as she can be! If you do not see riders there, if you are headed down 35 from Lewisville, as soon as you cross 635, take the next exit and turn back to the right at the stop. You will pull into a two-story strip center and there will be a motorcycle parts/accessory, etc. shop upstairs. The lady that taught us worked there too. If she's no longer there, they can tell you the name of the group that practiced behind Rudy's.

When my wife and I took the course, we went to A+ riding school. Their bikes were no larger than 200cc and most were 125cc I think it was. This was back in 2003 though so I don't know if they are still around. They had their classes in Dallas though. Not sure if you can find something closer to you but if not, this was a pretty good class for us. www.texasmtc.com

I thought I'd responded already... weird. I did this one a year ago: http://www.txmt.org/

Jim runs a good course. It's in Plano in the Macy's parking lot 75 @ 18th. They have classes during the week and weekends. They also have women's only classes on occasion. I'd highly recommend this course. At the time, it was also the least expensive in the area..

Ride safe.

Go to the Texas Dept of Public Safety website under the MSF section, this will list all available classes in all areas.

For some reason I can't find the option to PM you. It's weird? I'm a new member, so maybe I can't do that yet. You can reach my email with my forum name and @gmail.com

Well I finally decided on a class. I'm taking my class at http://www.texasmtc.com/ and I can't wait. I co-own a blog where we review products and services, www.revude.com, so I'll be adding it to the list of things. Can't wait to start my motorcycle adventure. Thanks to everyone who suggested a place.

Prostar: I'm taking my class with Ken, thanks for the heads up.

I did the Rider Course at the Carrollton location, it was very useful. I'm sending my wife and youngest son through it this summer.
