I lost a friend last Saturday when a deer jumped out and knocked him off his bike while he was on his way to Leesburg in Florida. He died at the scene. You have to be super careful in rural areas of the country.
Sorry to hear that man. I just had three deer jump out in front of me this week on my bike. Remember if you see one deer crossing there is almost always more to follow.
I've had 2 episodes with deer. Ain't nothin' to mess around with if you can avoid 'em.
Both times were in the early morning, 4:30 5 ish. on rural highway with-in 10 miles of my house. 4 broken ribs, separated sternam, torn rotator cuff, spiral fractured tipiea and $ 3,800 in damages. And that was at low speed! 35-40 tops.
Hate to hear of it. Hope he was enjoying the ride....
Very sorry to hear about your friend.
I've hit deer three times over the years in the car, all in the middle of the day when they came out at a full run. I always have them in the back of my mind when riding.
I heard about that...up in the Ocala National Forest, right? Thoughts and prayers for your friend and his family. Just terrible to hear about all the accidents lately.
