Default Winter Storage- Do you use Storage Mode on Security System?

I have my 2003 FLHTCUI in storage, on a battery tender. Today I took the cover off, and everything looked good. I had some extra time on my hands, so I read the manual and decided to use the storage mode, which entailed the usual mumbo-jumbo sequence of magic directional presses to get to work.

I got it to work, so it should reduce the battery drain. Do any of you use the storage mode?

No storage mode, but always on the battery tender.

What? People cover up their bikes in the winter?

Didn't know about "storage" mode. I'll have to look, I remember seeing a "transport" mode. Would the 2 be the same thing?

Transport mode should be used when bike is being shipped or in storage where it might get moved around. It will prevent the battery from draining.

I put it in "transport" mode every time I park it at home.

Default Interesting

If it's on the tender, what would be the need for a "reduced drain" mode?

Neither. I keep both bikes in my shop with the ignition unlocked and the security system off. If someone can get thru two gates, break into the shop, and get past the doberman, they can have it. I also have neighbors on either side of me that keeps an eye on the house.
