You ride how you want to ride. Personally, I wear a helmet, full face sometime, half-helmet with a drop down face shield other times. Just my personal choice, don't like road debris smacking me in the face on the highway in traffic at speed. Your personal choice is to ride without. Last time I read my Declaration of Independence, I recall that Jefferson wrote, "we hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, and they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these rights are life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness."
