Here's a coincidence that probably doesn't happen very often. A guy posts on a local forum about a hit and run his buddy was a victim of, the car was a silver Acura RSX. What are the odds that another forum member witnessed the accident and quickly grabbed a camera and got some sweet shots of the azz in the RSX making his getaway... license plate included.
This shows more there was another eye witness. There was a black man in the yard doing excerzies and with the witnesses and the pictures when this goes to court can you say SLAM DUNK??
As a cop I would love to have all this in my bag of tricks come court day.
a few years ago (yikes....13) when i was still in college, i was at this walmart, i get out of my car and look across the lane and there was this old beater 4-door oldsmobuick full of some real hard core Whiskey Tangos. one was sitting with the back door open and the driver starts the car and starts backing up....with the door open. as he starts turning, the back door drags down the side of this guys brand new truck, still had the paper plates, from the middle of the front door to the rear bumper!!! dented it in and all. i'm just standing there with my mouth open in shock. the guy just shuts the door and they leave.
so i write down the plate number and right the guy a little "i just saw who did this to your truck..." note and put it on his windshield, with my name and address.
i kinda forgot about it and about, 2 months later, on a friday no less, i get this letter in the mail from the guy who was married to a cop and they were able to get the guy. he included a check for $300 to say thanks!!!!!!
drinks were on me that night!!! i kinda had to pat myself on the back a little for that one. i felt pretty good.
