How come when you order something from a dealer you have to buy something else with it so it'll work?
Today I went to my dealer and ordered a painted quarter-fairing. I also had to order the "docking kit" that enables me to mount it on my beloved Trini.
At $500.00 total I got to thinking that the mounting kit should &$%&$#&%&$& well come with the fairing at no extra charge. What am I going to do with a fairing I can't mount on my bike? Wear it as a hat? [:@]
It's the nickel/dime mentality. We were discussing this the other day (she was talking about something else and I related that HD did it too). I get the greed mentality, but it is stupid.
A good point about buying aftermarket. I'm going to look more into that. I want to get a Stage 1 upgrade but I'm afraid HD will make me buy a new gas tank or something.[&:]
