I'd watch out for this now I'm no expert but being a metal fabricator by trade I would think that any temper in the frame(every thing else would be replaced)would be gone from the heat of the fire.

They want $2000 for it OR will give 2000 for someone to take it> There wouldn't be a single piece on this bike that I'd want. Insurance fire perhaps?

Wow, that thing really got hot! Even If it was given to me for nothing, I wouldn't attemt a salvage on it. It even melted the primary and cam covers. The only thing that might be worth saving is going to be on the inside (trans gears, crank shaft) but I wouldn't want them. JMO

I do not see much of anything salvageable on that bike. The sheetmetal is dented, the engine melted, the electrics gone. And judging by the heat, that frame is probably messed up.

$200 is too much for that, IMO

Place it on a concrete pillar in the middle of a fountain.... maybe in front of an office building that houses an insurance company.

For the record, this is not what your buddy meant when he suggested "firing the bikes up and having some fun".

That thing is nothing but a HEAVY paperweight now! Even it was given to me...I would not accept it.
