Imgoing to be a new harley owner, Im buying a 2009 Police Road King, I want to put a bat wing on it but it has a tachometer on it. Can I take the tach of without causing issues to the bike?
Ugghhh, cant you guys just give the FNG a friggin break?
Yes, you can remove the Tach, get a factory service manual for your bike and it will cover the steps to disconnect it and remove it.
For Batwing fairings that you can install on your 2009 King you have a lot of options, Woody's, Hoppe, DragonFly, Dead Center Cycles all make detachable fairings, plus there are many others as well.
Enjoy your 2009 Police RK !

OK, from what I can see, the way the fairing mounts, it shouldn't interfere with the tach. So again, why remove it?
