I am going to replace the pegs on my breakout and wow the snap rings are small. Can anyone tell me what size snap ring pliers I need. The holes in the snap rings are so small by tired old eyes can barely see them.
I guess the proper terminology is snap retainer ring. Bolt slides through one side of the peg, through the bracket on the bike, through the other side of the peg and this retainer ring hold the bolt in place.
The holes that the snap ring pliers go in are very very small.
Been there done that, I found a good pair at ACE hardware.
The snap ring is not made out of the best material and worth replacing (unless you are careful and it does not bend).
